Grete, Kirsty and I, we arrived around 11am in the Forbidden Planet.
The Forbidden Planet was in a big Shopping mall so at least we didn't have
to freeze this time while waiting for the signing to begin. We had to wait outside the shop for the session to begin.
Around 12pm noon we were allowed to get into the Forbidden Planet Grete was standing between me
and Kirsty. Bruce said something like that we have a new tactic to get someone between us… and I replied that we thought we could cheat him that way….
Grete wanted to have a pic together with Bruce. Bruce looked at her
for a moment…kind of “spaced out”. Then he said, Yeah, sure.. no problem.
Grete asked him if she could come around the table. He said: “No, that's not possible. Only he and bald headed people are allowed on this side of the table.” So Grete had to lean over the table.
I got a book signed for
someone. While Bruce was signing the book I told him that normally I need a proof for every Book he's signing so the persons can be sure that you really have signed the book. So after he has signed the book he held it up near
his face and he had a very big smile on his face. And I said: Okay, stay that way so I can make a picture of that....
But in the next second... he "changed" his face and made all kind of gestures.... and it took a
long time to get him back smiling again!
I could kick myself because I only took this pic! :-( His other faces were hilarious!
When we left the Forbidden Planet there was still a big queue. There were about 100 -
150 people waiting to get their book signed. So after the signing we drove back to Grete's house. And after a while Kirsty and I drove to the next signing appointment... to Sheffield.
