We arrived at Manchester and found a parking garage near the FP. Then we went to see where the FP was exactly so we know where to go later.
Then we went for a little look into the Arndale Shopping centre which is a big Shopping centre in Manchester. Around 3:20pm we went back to the FP and there were already a few people standing in front of the FP. After we had
taken a look inside the FP we went to the queue. There we met Alaka and her friends, Nishi and Paula We had a lot of fun outside the FP… (and I can tell you that I don’t say anything further about this conversation!!!!)
A short time before 5pm I saw Brian and Bruce coming up the street so I pointed that to the other that Bruce is just coming.
Alaka and her friends turned around and when Bruce and Brian arrived at the door, they began to scream (like these screams you have on concerts from Backstreet Boys or similar.) I can’t tell you exactly if Bruce enjoyed
this moment or if he was scared about it. He went inside the FP with a smile on his face but it looked like he was kind of "uncomfortable" about this. After that moment Alaka was looking through the window the whole
time trying to spot Bruce inside. I thought that I really have to say to Bruce that he can be really lucky that these 3 persons have no driving licenses! ;-) We had to wait outside the FP but we had a good look at the
place where Bruce was signing. He was sitting over the stairs and on the handrail was a sign: Super-Hero , Toys on sale. And I thought I have to tell Bruce about that sign because without the downstairs it fitted totally to
the scene… :-)
Alaka was the first from us at Bruce's table. She gave Bruce a card...
When it was my turn again. I said to Bruce: "Hi! Wow, it really has been a long time since the last time we've seen each other!" I asked Bruce if he had seen the sign and how much he costs. He
looked a little bit confused and Brian leaned over the handrail and read the sign to Bruce. Bruce just smiled about that.. and didn't tell me the prize! After he had signed the book he looked up and smiled again... this
smile he had before in Nottingham. But just as I was about to take a shot he changed it again and I couldn’t bring him back to that smile. Not even with "Come on, Bruce, I know you can give me the smile, come on, the
camera loves you, give me the smile....". Nothing worked! After we went back out of the shop we said good bye to Alaka and her friends and we drove back to Nottingham (140km / 90miles)… our little place where we could
stay again!
