We arrived around 10:30am in Colchester so we still had lots of time to kill because the signing was supposed to start at 12pm. At 12pm the shop
owner came out and told us that Bruce would be late because they're stuck in a traffic jam. 10 minutes later the shop owner came out again and gave sweets to everyone. He repeated that action a few times... ever 10-15 minutes.
Around 12:45 Bruce finally arrived and the signing began. Brian came to me and told me about that traffic jam and if we also had that problem. I denied and told him that we didn't come from Norwich, but from London so we had a
different way to Colchester. Brian also told me a story about last night, that Bruce was excited about this new assignment and that ONLY those people from the Panel know about it yet. Brian told him then that it's already
all over the internet, because Anke has already sent out the information to all Mailing lists. (which actually wasn't true, because I wrote to information all over the internet the next morning, because when I arrived at
Katrina's Place, all I could do was to fall into bed (or better, into my sleeping bag).) I told Brian that because of them being late, I might miss my ferry at 4pm from Dover. He said: "No Anke, you won't. Just leave
now and you will catch it. Bye". Yeah, Sure. I wait over 2 hours in the cold just to miss the main attraction. ;) So I stayed! (Missing the ferry wouldn't have been that bad, because the next ferry I could take was going
at 8pm... You know... Cheap ferry tickets.. not allowed to take the ferry in the rush hours... Poor student.. no money) ;) When Bruce signed my last 3 books Brian came up, saying "Good Bye" in different languages.
Like Arrividerci, Hasta la vista.... then he asked "What's Good bye in german?" and then I started to think and you wouldn't believe me when I say... I didn't know it at that moment. 10 days only english.. and I
already had forgotten my native language. HOW EMBARRASSING!! Then Bruce said: That's "Auf Wiedersehen". And I just thought in that moment.. Cool, now Bruce's german is better than mine. Very good. (While I was in
England I called my mum a few times... and later my mum told me, that after she hung up she told the rest of the family... I didn't understand her.. she was talking in english with me. And that's true.. I really noticed that I
talked half english, half german, but I wasn't able to change it. Funny, isn't it????) Then Brian asked me if I had a good picture with me and Bruce and I said... no, not a good one. (I don't call the pics from Edinburgh
GOOD!) So Brian: "Okay.. we make another one.. come on, Bruce, would you please stand up... " So I got a much better pic of Bruce and myself! ;) After Bruce was back on his place he wished us a nice trip back
home. And I told the same to him and also said: Don't fly with "Never come back - Airline".... and don't think about Free Fall (Bruce's last movie about plane crashes). Sorry, I couldn't resist. ;)
After we said Good Bye to everyone we left the Signing.
So, that’s the last report about the last signing.
Overall I can say, that I had a blast on this whole tour. The Driving, meeting lots of BB Fans, I only have met online before....EVERYTHING!!!
If someone would ask me: "Would you do it again?"... I say YEAH, of course. And I hope that there will be such a tour again. I can only hope! ;)
Also I would like to say Thank you very much to Katrina, Grete and Ruby that they have given me a place to stay. Without you the tour would have
been too much expensive because hotels or guest rooms in UK cost a fortune.
I hope you had as much fun reading my report as me doing that report ;) And who knows.. maybe in a few years, after another tour, I might be able
to report again!
