Around 11am we went to the Forbidden Planet. Bruce was standing in the FP and looked at all the books. I asked him about a scene from his book ( I
had read that part the night before), if it was possible that a sol system has 2 suns and a planet where life is possible in it. I thought as an expert for NASA he might be able to tell that to me.
Bruce said Why shouldn’t
that be possible and I answered because of the physics and the gravity and so… at least that’s what I have learned in physics. And he as a NASA expert may be able to … I can’t explain you the sound he made….but is was really,
really funny! ;-)
And he said something like physics is a lot of crap. Kirsty said that in Star Wars there were also 2 suns at one planet. And he said... yeah, you see George Lucas also had made that. Then I said to him:
Ohhh... so you have copied that from George Lucas.... and I guess he was trying to get away from this topic because he last mentioned that this all was Science Fiction… and anything is possible in Science Fiction.
More and more people came into the FP and so Bruce went upstairs to be out of the way.
Again, the Signing started on time. Bruce was sitting upstairs at a big Window.
When we were near the place Bruce was signing Brian saw us and waved Hello at us
I brought a Bruce-pic from home and asked Bruce to sign that.. and I told him that I need this pic for my car… my car looks so empty… He
just laughed about that…. After that I asked him if he thinks about to make an audio version of his Book and he said that he really would like to do that but he has to get the offer to do that. It depends on how
successful the book gets.
So after he had signed our stuff we went outside on the other street side.. and I thought it would be a nice idea to have a pic from the windows where Bruce was but just in this moment Bruce
left the table…and so we waited in hope that he will come back .. and of course he came back. He looked outside the window seeing us standing and the street with a camera ready for the shoot … so he waved at us and then got
back into business.
I guess there were about 100 - 150 people at this signing.
